The 115 cm cumulative rule, the hidden constraint

French Bee adds a condition that few airlines impose: the sum of the three dimensions must not exceed 115 cm. Now, 55 plus 35 plus 25 equals exactly 115. In other words, a suitcase at its maximum on all three sides hits the limit precisely, with no margin. On another leisure long-haul airline, the constraint shifts: Air Transat does not impose a cumulative sum but reduces the depth, and its cabin bag capped at 23 cm thick rejects suitcases that French Bee accepts.

Concretely, if your suitcase gains a centimeter somewhere, it must lose it elsewhere. A shell of 56 cm in height remains theoretically acceptable on the other two measurements, but it brings the total to 116 cm and becomes refusable. This double constraint is what traps expandable suitcases, whose depth increases by 4 to 5 cm once the zipper is open.

Wheels and handle included

French Bee applies European regulations on liquids, identical in all EU airports. Your bottles are limited to 100 ml per container and must fit into a transparent, re-sealable one-liter bag, presented separately at security control.

The 100 ml rule

This covers gels, creams, perfumes, beverages, and all pasty products like toothpaste.
