A TRAVEL HOUSE SINCE 1976
It all began in 1976, when the Taieb family decided to found a new type of factory to manufacture rigid cardboard suitcases: lighter and more ergonomic than traditional suitcases.
Inspired by the innovative trunks that Louis Vuitton launched in 1854, the founders of the GYL house created a completely new concept: to make the concepts of luxury accessible to all travelers and accompany them everywhere and throughout their lives.
Numerous patents were thus obtained, guaranteeing the brand exclusivity over its manufacturing processes. To meet growing international demand and remain at the forefront of innovation, GYL opened its second factory in 1982.
